What we do

Services That Move Garments Off the Rail

Every engagement starts with the same question: what is stopping this store from selling more of what it already believes in? These are the four areas where we usually find the answer.

Rows of folded and hanging garments prepared for a seasonal collection plan
Collection planning

Range & Buying Plans

We map your season by category, price band and colour story, then set open-to-buy limits so your capital goes into the styles that actually repeat — and not into a stockroom you have to discount your way out of in July.

Sourcing

Supplier Sourcing & Quality Control

Introductions to vetted apparel, knitwear and accessories manufacturers, plus the fit and fabric checks that catch problems before a shipment lands. You get consistent quality and terms you can plan around.

Store Layout & Displays

Windows, focal walls and a floor path that leads shoppers past your strongest margin. We deliver a photographed guide your team can repeat every drop, so the store looks intentional without you standing in it.

Operations

Stock & Store Operations

Replenishment rhythms, size-curve fixes, markdown timing and simple floor routines your staff can follow. The result is fewer gaps in core sizes and far less guesswork at the till.

Who we serve

Sectors We Work With

We stay inside apparel and accessories on purpose. Depth in one field beats a general opinion in six — and it shows in the supplier lists, size curves and display plans we hand over.

Women's fashion garments styled on a rail in a boutique clothing store

Women's Fashion Boutiques

Fast-moving trend cycles and tight buying windows. We help you commit early where it counts and stay liquid everywhere else.

Menswear shirts and jackets arranged on a clothing rail in a men's store

Menswear & Tailoring

Core programmes, fit consistency and repeat basics. We build the year-round spine so seasonal pieces become upside, not risk.

Jewellery and fashion accessories displayed on a retail counter

Accessories & Jewellery

Small footprint, high margin. We turn counters and till points into planned add-on zones that lift the average basket.

Pair of sneakers displayed on a shelf in a footwear store

Footwear Stores

Size-curve discipline and stockroom flow. We reduce the lost sales that happen quietly when a popular size runs dry.

Neatly folded children's clothing stacked on retail shelving

Children's & Family Wear

Age-band planning, durability standards and parent-friendly floor layouts that make a busy visit feel easy.

Hats and seasonal outerwear accessories on display in a store

Outerwear & Seasonal Wear

Weather-driven demand needs sharper timing. We plan intake and markdown windows so a short season still lands profitably.

How we work

Four Clear Steps, No Hidden Scope

You always know what happens next, what it costs and what lands in your hands at the end of it. That is the whole method.

  1. Step 01

    Store Review

We walk the floor, read your sell-through and stock ageing, and talk to the people at the till.

    You receive: a written diagnosis

  2. Step 02

    Plan & Quote

Proposed range plan, layout changes, supplier shortlist and timeline — approved by you line by line.

    You receive: a fixed-fee quote

  3. Step 03

    Rollout

We place orders, restyle the floor and train your team on the new routines, with a short update every week.

    You receive: a restyled floor

  4. Step 04

    Measure & Refine

Thirty and ninety days on, we compare results to the baseline and adjust. Numbers decide what stays.

    You receive: a results review

Case Studies From the Shop Floor

Illustrative engagements based on typical client situations. Figures are project targets agreed with each store, shared here as examples of the outcomes we work toward.

Womenswear boutique interior with curated garments on display rails

Independent Womenswear Boutique

Challenge
Too much capital tied up in one-off trend pieces, leaving core sizes empty by mid-season and forcing deep discounts.
Solution
Rebuilt the range plan around a 60/40 core-to-trend split, set open-to-buy limits per category and introduced a monthly replenishment review.

Target: full-price sell-through up 22% across one season

Leather handbags and accessories arranged on a retail display shelf

Accessories & Leather Goods Store

Challenge
Strong footfall but a low average basket — customers bought one item and left without seeing complementary pieces.
Solution
Redesigned the till zone and two focal tables into planned pairing displays, with a short staff script for add-on suggestions.

Target: average basket value up 18% within 90 days

Footwear displayed in pairs on shelving inside a shoe store

Family Footwear Retailer

Challenge
Popular mid-range sizes ran out within two weeks of every delivery while wide sizes sat unsold in the stockroom.
Solution
Rebuilt size curves from twelve months of till data, split intake into two smaller drops and set a weekly stockroom count routine.

Target: lost-size stockouts cut by 40%

About EVERWEST

A New Company Built on Long Practice in Apparel Retail

Most clothing stores do not have a taste problem. They have a planning problem.

The pieces owners fall in love with are usually right. What goes wrong is quantity, timing and where the garment sits on the floor — and those three things are fixable.

We are a young company, and we treat that as an advantage: a small caseload, direct access to the people doing the work, and no legacy process to defend. You get a partner who reads your numbers properly, then stands on your shop floor to fix what those numbers reveal.

"I would rather hand a store one plan it can actually run than a strategy it politely files away."
Diana Olmstead — Founder & Director, EVERWEST LTD

Notes From the Rail

Short, practical pieces on buying, display and stockroom discipline — written for owners who read them between deliveries, not at a desk.

The 60/40 Rule for Seasonal Buying

Trend pieces get the attention, but core styles pay the rent. Here is how to split your open-to-buy so a slow trend never threatens your cash position.

Your Size Curve Is Probably Wrong

Most stores inherit their size split from a supplier default. Pull twelve months of till data instead — the correction usually recovers sales you never knew you were losing.

Six Feet That Decide the Sale

The first six feet past your door set the tone for the whole visit. We break down what belongs in that zone, what never should, and how often to change it.

When to Mark Down, and When to Wait

Discounting too early gives away margin you had already earned. A simple ageing threshold tells you which rail is genuinely stuck and which just needs a better position.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

The things store owners ask us before signing. If yours is not here, call or write — we answer directly.

We are a small independent store. Are we too small for you?

No. Single-location, owner-run stores are exactly who we built EVERWEST for. Smaller stores usually see the sharpest improvement, because one buying correction affects a much larger share of the floor.

How much does an engagement cost?

Every project is quoted as a fixed fee after the initial store review, so you approve a number before any work starts. Scope, store size and whether sourcing is included are the main factors. The first consultation carries no charge.

How long before we see a difference on the floor?

Layout and display changes usually show within the first two to three weeks. Buying and range decisions follow the season cycle, so their full effect appears over one complete selling period, measured against your baseline.

Do we have to change all our suppliers?

Rarely. We start by assessing what your current suppliers do well and where terms or quality fall short. New introductions are proposed only to fill a genuine gap, and the decision always stays with you.

Will you work with our existing staff?

Yes, and it matters. Your team knows your customers. We train them on the new floor routines and leave written guides behind, so the changes hold long after we step back.

Do you only serve stores near London, Ontario?

Our office is in London, Ontario, and we visit stores across the province in person. Clients further afield work with us through remote reviews, video walkthroughs and scheduled on-site visits at key points in the project.
